May be because they help children in learning and stay in touch with creativity.

I think it helps keep them entertained, it also exposes them to new vocabulary, tunes and rhyming which can help their developing minds.

I think kids need nursery rhymes because they're fun - and an great introduction to music and melody

i would say that kids need nursery rhymes for learning life lessons and reading skills.

Nursery rhymes are a great teaching tool for kids. They can help teach everything from the alphabet to moral lessons.
